Art works of convicts and detainees were presented at the exhibition opened at Abdullah Gül University (AGU) with the theme "Art Makes Freedom".
The exhibition was organized within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed between AGU and Kayseri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and was opened at Sumer Campus due to the World Art Day, which is one of the International days declared by UNESCO.
Chief Public Prosecutor Habib Korkmaz spoke at the opening. He stated that all the works in the exhibition are handcrafted and congratulated the convicts and detainees who contributed. Korkmaz wished that all the works of art in the exhibition would be sold.
Rector Prof. Dr. Cengiz Yılmaz, in his speech at the opening, indicated his pleasure to meet with the Kayseri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and thanked everyone who contributed.
After the speeches, the opening of the exhibition was made by Chief Prosecutor Korkmaz, Rector Yılmaz, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erk Hacıhasanoğlu, Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Ömer Demirgöz, Public Prosecutor responsible for Penitentiary Institutions Ahmet İhsan Koç and guests visited the exhibition together.
The exhibition can be visited until April 30, 2023.
