Within the scope of the Erasmus + Youth Accreditation, Youth Exchange mobility named "Using SDGs in Youth Work" was held in Kayseri between 26.09.2023 and 04.10.2023.
30 volunteers from Spain, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey participated in the project. Various workshops on SDGs were held in the program. Non-formal teaching techniques were used.
Our University stakeholders were also included in different sessions of the program. A seminar was held on 27 September with the participation of UNHCR Turkey field expert Mr. Faik Yılmaz. In the seminar, the topics of the United Nations, migration and Türkiye were touched upon.
3 different events were organized with Kocasinan District Directorate of National Education. On 29 September, the Speaking Club -SDGs workshop was held as an the international interaction activity, which was the last event of the 'Speaking Club' project jointly organized by our unit and the Society of Women Engineers Club, and was attended by students studying in high schools and carried out for three periods.
As the second event of 29 September, a seminar titled 'European Opportunities' was organized with the participation of students studying in language classes of Ahmet Eren Anatolian High School. European Opportunities (Youth Exchange, ESC and DiscoverEU) were introduced by foreign participants at the seminar.
"Culture Day" was held on 2 October, at the University Exhibition Area. Students from Ahmet Eren Anatolian High School participated in this event. In the program, in addition to the Youth Exchange Project participants, international students studying at our University also worked at stands representing their own countries.
An event was organized for the children staying with their mothers in the Kayseri Women Closed Penal Institution regarding the protocol signed with the Kayseri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on 3 October. In this event, 12 children had the opportunity to meet with foreign participants.
