International Biodiversity Day was celebrated in partnership between our department and Kocasinan District National Education Directorate. Within the framework of the protocol, on May 22, 2023, a seminar titled 'The 3N's of Biodiversity (What is it, What Are We Doing, Why is it Important?)' was conducted by our Research Assistant Efe Berk BOZKURT at Osman Düşüngel Middle School, affiliated with Kocasinan District National Education Directorate.
In this seminar attended by 120 students, topics such as what biodiversity is, what affects it, what its benefits are, and what we need to do to protect it were discussed. Following that, discussions were held on the distribution of species, how biodiversity is affected in the evolutionary process, and the results of the implemented practices.
