As part of the Life Colors- Touches Without Barriers Project, the second edition of the project is organized including education, end-of-year performance, and exhibition activities. The project hosted by our university, was carried out in collaboration with AGU, Kocasinan District National Education Directorate, Kocasinan Guidance Research Center (RAM), and Gevher Nesibe Special Education Practice School on May 30, June 1-2-6.
The events lasted for four days and were held at various locations on the Sumer Campus, including the Fitness Center, Seminar Halls A and B, and various workshops.
On the first day of the activities, Artist Resmiye Tırakoğlu, working at Kocasinan Olgunlaştırma Enstitüsü, provided an introductory training on the traditional Turkish art of Ebru to 20 students comign from the Gevher Nesibe Special Education Practice School.
On the second day of the activities, Instructor Hülya Öztürk provided the students with a Zumba dance training in front of the Fitness Center. Öztürk also conducted basic step-aerobic training sessions. Under her guidance, students played a game and sport called bocce with iron balls.
On the third day of the activities, with the participation of teachers from Kocasinan RAM school, students engaged in various activities including finger paint, music performances, and an educational process where they experienced different musical instruments.
On the last day, an end-of-year event and exhibition were organized for the Gevher Nesibe Special Education Practice School students as a part of the project. The event was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erk Hacıhasanoğlu, General Secretary Osman Yıldırım, and protocol members.
