12 AUGUST INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY

"International Youth Day" event, one of the international days announced by UNESCO, held on 12.08.2022 by Kayseri Kocasinan District Directorate of National Education, Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Kayseri Youth Center, Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, AGU Construction and Technical Department, AGU Youth Factory was celebrated in Sumer campus.
Within the scope of the International Youth Day, young people participated in the non-formal education activities to recognize each other. Afterwards, the environment was cleaned by the participants and 50 plane trees were planted on the campus. The tree planting event was attended by AGU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erk Hacıhasanoğlu, Kayseri Provincial Migration Management Manager Ahmet Danışman, Kayseri Youth Center Manager Fatih Yıldız, AGU Construction and Technical Department Head Umut Aydın, AGU Youth Factory staff, Kayseri Youth Center volunteers, international students and Kocasinan Anatolian High School students. After the planting event, a workshop titled “Carbon Footprint and Global Warming” was held at Abdullah Gul Presidential Museum and Library. In the workshop, the participants covered the Carbon Footprint and they made presentations by discussing how they can reduce carbon emissions on a local and national basis.
